The Brain

Your brain is the computer control center for your body.  It is not one mass, but it is divided into parts.  One of the smaller parts is the hypothalamus.  The    hypothalamus controls automatic body functions, like digestion.
The three main parts of the brain are the medulla, cerebellum, and the cerebrum.  The medulla and the cerebellum are at the base of the cerebrum.  The medulla is connected to the top of the large bundle of nerves running down through the spine, called the spinal cord.  The medulla controls involuntary movements, such as the beating of your heart.
